We've had El Diablo since January and have yet to do a proper ship's log. Now's a good time to get started with it.
Very light air- we motored from Ballena Isle across the south bay, under the Bay Bridge, across the city front and raised our sails as we entered the slot. The wind was probably something like 10 knots max. We sailed out to Alcatraz and back- lowered our sails and with the flood tide raced back along the city front under the bridge and to the ramp where we tied up next to Slow Curve and had a drink with Russell and others. We then motored back across the south back neck and neck with Slow Curve. Nice moon, warm, no wind... Before entering the marina, we turned off the motor and drifted, had another beer before making our way in for the night... out of 10, I'd give the day an 8.
